David and Judy Heady

David and Judy Heady have been missionaries to Haiti since 1983.  Before coming to Haiti as career missionaries, the Heady’s lived in Owensboro, KY and owned an electrical company as well as a sign manufacturing/erection business. Their first years in Haiti were spent working in the mountains of Haiti as volunteers with Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board.  When their two year term with Southern Baptist was complete, they joined with Global Outreach International and began developing Global’s ministry in TiTanyen, Haiti.

David and Judy have two children.  Their daughter Cindy, son-in-law Mike Hamilton, and grandaughter Amanda live in Owensboro, Ky.  David Jr. is married to Betsy. Their three children and six grandchildren all live in Louisville, KY.

The Heady’s continue to work tirelessly in Haiti fulfilling God’s calling on their lives. In addition to serving as Directors of Global Outreach Haiti Mission, they are also Regional Directors for Global Outreach International  in the Caribbean, Central America and South America.

At any moment of the day you can find David and Judy sharing the love of Christ whether it is through action or words. Their commitment and dedication encourage all who come across their path.

The Brumley Family

Chris and Sheryl Brumley came to the Global Outreach Haiti Mission in 2003 after several short-term mission trips from their home church in Greeley, Colorado.

They have three sons: Jonathan, Jordan and Joshua.  Jonathan and his wife Molly are living in Colorado and Jordan attending college at Fort Lewis in Durango, Colorado.  Joshua is in high school being homeschooled in Haiti.

Chris is a graduate of Bethel College and Seminary and has spent most of his adult life

working in flooring and carpentry, but his heart and passion have always been teaching Sunday school, leading Bible studies, and discipling young men.

Sheryl was raised in Scandinavia with missionary parents and had a desire from a young age to be a missionary nurse. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and has worked in nursing since that time.  Sheryl runs Global Outreach Haiti Mission’s burn clinic and homeschools their son Joshua.

Chris is involved in discipleship, teaching, leading Bible studies and works with well crews, campus maintenance, and often shows The Jesus Film and The Passion of  the Christ as a part of Global’s evangelistic ministries.

They both have a heart to reach the Haitians for Christ and help meet both their physical and spiritual needs.

The Kendall Family

Tim and Ann Kendall came to Haiti in 1992 when their oldest daughter was just two years old.  For five and a half years they worked with two different organizations learning the language and culture.  In 1997 they returned to the States for two years. In 1999 they returned to Haiti and worked with another organization until 2002 when they came to work with Global Outreach Haiti Mission.

They now have six children, Katherine 19, Dwight 16, Christopher 14, Karl 12, Jonathan 11, and Krislena 8. Katherine is currently living in the States to attend university.

Tim works in construction, well maintenance and campus maintenance. He also works with Agape Flights assisting with mail and passengers. He teaches a Sunday school class at their local church.

Ann stays busy homeschooling the five children that are still at home. Each Monday morning she works with the Gran Moun elderly feeding program. She also assist with the team ministries and keeps up with the accounting on the Haitian side of Global’s ministry.

Tim and Ann have a desire to show the love of Christ to the Haitian people through ministry and through living as examples of Christ.

The Bruns Family

Kevin and Susan Bruns accepted the call to missions in 1999 but it took nearly a decade for them to arrive in Haiti as full-time missionaries.  In 2003, they both had the privilege of joining short term mission teams bound for Haiti.  A desire to be obedient to the Lord led them to further their education over the next several years. Kevin graduated with his B.A. in Missions and Evangelism in May 2008 and Susan graduated with her Nursing degree the same month.  In 2008, they applied to Global Outreach with the desire to join the Haiti Mission Team.

In June, 2009, Bruns arrived in Haiti to join the Global Haiti Mission Team. They are currently involved in both formal and informal language training and Kevin is beginning to preach at Haitian churches, working with well drilling crews and campus maintenance. Susan is working at the burn clinic and homeschooling their 4 children:  Skyla – 13; Kali – 12; Jessica – 10; and Josiah – 9.  They began homeschooling in September 2008 in anticipation of the move to Haiti.

Their desire is to be obedient to the Lord and allow Him to use them as He sees fit in reaching the people of Haiti for Christ.
